1978 Calgary Power / Fording Coal project postponed and abandoned
2000 Intervened on behalf of local residents to secure fair and reasonable compensation for seismic exploration activity for all affected landowners.
Spring/Summer 2007 Upon the release of the Sherritt International Public Disclosure Document detailing the scope and objective of the coal mining/gasification project, RHDAPA again brings its resources and membership into action.
Summer 2007 Consulted with Sherritt International to influence content of Sherritt's Land Acquisition Principles (LAPs) and Guidelines document showcased at an open house held October 24th 2007 at Ryley, Alberta. These LAPs are an attempt to setup a framework for Sherritt to deal fairly and equitably with landowners in the project area and will be part of the application for regulatory approval.
Fall 2007 established official intervenor status in future ERCB proceedings.
